I created a licensing collection themed around Japanese pastries and a beach setting. I focused on reusable assets, style cohesion, and color palette.

I chose salty as my taste to illustrate. My soap bar would have the scent of driftwood, sea salt, water lilies, and a hint of seaweed.

Thumbnails. My concept focused on a pastel and soft feel with highlighting Japanese pastries. I focused on beach aesthetics as well.

Final Sketch.

Value Study. I focused on making sure values were readable, especially with a pastel color palette.

Final Spots. I went with a half dot feel for detail and soft brushes for texture.

Patterns. I had a fun learning curve with patterns and trying to tie in my spots with a semi-busy background color.
